With a Brüel Systems spin dryer, entire stacks of foldable, rigid, or bale arm crates can be dried effectively in a matter of seconds, leaving less than 3 grams of moisture on each crate and preparing them for storage or re-use. Spin dryers can be specified with one or two lanes; each lane can handle one stack of full-size crates or two stacks of half-size crates with stack heights up to 1.200 mm.

The crate stacks are fed into a closed drying chamber where they are briefly spun around at 900 RPM, removing all moisture through centrifugal force. On average, a drying cycle takes only 13 seconds, contributing to high throughput and efficient performance at your facility. The dried stack is transported out of the spin dryer on a chain conveyor.

The high-efficiency 37 kW motor contributes to low energy consumption. Energy can be recovered and stored from the motor when coasting towards the end of the drying cycle. Moisture from the dried crates is collected and can be recycled for the dissolving processes of washing systems. Operator safety is ensured using interlocks on doors and flaps so that no one standing in the vicinity of the machine risks injury from ejected plastic parts.

The Brüel Systems single crate spin dryer is a fast and energy-efficient drying solution for single plastic crates. Its efficient drying performance allows you to stack and store cleaned crates with no risk of mould formation, and it consumes very little electricity.

The crate is fed into the machine on a conveyor, centred, lifted into a spinning chamber, and secured in place. The crate is briefly spun around at approx. 750 RPM, drying all surfaces, corners, and holes using centrifugal force so that on average, only 3 g of moisture remain. The dried crate is lifted onto the outfeed conveyor and transported out of the machine.

The water is collected in a sump and can be recycled for the washing process. Thanks to the low-inertia spinning chamber, the machine consumes only 1.5 kWh of electricity, making it an energy-efficient addition to your process line and lowering operating costs.
